School Supplies
This time of year many of us parents start thinking about classroom supplies. At MLC classroom supply expectations are different from many other PPS schools. At MLC kids really are not expected to have much in the way of supplies on the first day of class. If you're heading into a Kx6 grade, teachers will ask for a donation to cover supplies and then buy in bulk. The middle school and high school teachers usually ask for specific supplies during the first couple of days of school. If you want to take advantage of the sales or if you're afraid stores will sell out, you can't go wrong with pencils, paper, and tissues. If you do buy pencils, try to get the Dixon Ticonderoga No. 2 pencils. My kids tell me they are the best. They say the leads don't break as easily and the erasers work much better too.

Thanks Steve! I meant to get the word out to families, but you beat me to it.
